[SSS] soundsource.systems one-pager

A temporary one-pager for Sound Source Systems while we figure out the proper site. It also lists the label's releases, and you can play them right there.

A temporary one-pager for Sound Source Systems, up until we figure out the full site.

The rings logo is drawn in code rather than being an image. When the page opens the rings draw in from the centre, and after that the logo keeps pulsing on a slow beat. Clicking it sends out a few extra ripples.

The label, from SoundCloud

Nobody has to touch the site when we put out a release. The server grabs the label's SoundCloud feed every hour and shows every track that has a catalogue number (SSS001, SSS002 and so on), newest first.

You can play the tracks right on the page. Each release also links to its Bandcamp and SoundCloud pages.

So putting out a release is just uploading it to SoundCloud with its catalogue number, and it shows up on the site within the hour.

Under the hood

  • Built with Astro, with the text edited in Keystatic. Served by nginx.
  • The releases are also baked into the page itself, so search engines can see them too.
